Miss Carrie takes us on a journey through her creative process, using a variety of materials and techniques to create a stunning scrapbook page. She starts off with a white gesso base, adding texture and preparing the surface for the vibrant colors to come. 🎨
She then adds a splash of shimmer paint to a glass board, using cellophane wrapping to apply the color to her page. The result? A stunning, textured background that perfectly frames the center circle of her page. 🌈
But the fun doesn't stop there! Miss Carrie then adds florals in the lower left corner and upper right corner, creating an arc shape on either side. She also creates a stitched circle in the middle of the page and layers vellum on the back. The final touch? A photo of a precious little girl, celebrating Father's Day. 🎀👨👧
Miss Carrie also shares some valuable tips on color balance in your projects. She uses a grape color as her dominant hue, which she refers to as her "gallon color." She also adds a bit of red or orange to balance out the layout, and a soft mango color to tie in with the wood flowers she plans to add. 🍇🍊
